F2K is a 7-week creative writing course. This includes an Orientation week to help everyone get acquainted with the site and each other. The course is facilitated by experienced volunteers from Writers' Village University. There are usually 7 or 8 Classrooms each session. Students will be assigned classrooms on Jan. 15, 2014. All classrooms are in the Forums, and are named after authors. For example, you might be assigned to the Hemingway Classroom. When F2K begins, Classrooms and Lessons are activated.
Once you are registered, you'll find new items on the Menu. When you first register, you are registered for the site and not the course. You will need to register for the course separately by going to "Join/Upgrade" and selecting the F2K Jan. 15, 2014 session. There is no extra charge for this. Simply use the "Subscribe Now" button, review your information, then press the final "Subscribe Now" button. Since all members are Lifetime Members, you may take as many future F2K sessions as you'd like by going to the "Join/Upgrade" area.
What you see on the Menu is based on your subscriptions.
In the Forums, you'll find FAQs, Support, Classrooms, and F2K Cafe, a community bulletin board.
The lessons are located in F2K Lessons, also refereed to as the Course Page. New Lessons are activated every Wednesday and must be completed by the following Tuesday.
You'll also notice the F2K Social area; this is where you can build your Profile page, post pictures and videos, send private messages, chat, create groups, and make friends.
The Join/Upgrade area shows you what courses and offers are currently available. Between sessions of F2K other programs or instructed courses will be available.
F2K Lifetime Membership
An F2K Lifetime Membership gives you year-round access to the site and you may take the F2K Course as many times as you'd like at no extra charge.
